In the unlikely event of a serious travel advisory, health concern, border restriction, weather disruption, or operational change, our booking terms and supplier conditions will apply to ensure clarity, fairness, and responsible handling of your journey.

To help ensure a safe, smooth, and enjoyable East Africa safari experience, we encourage every traveller to prepare carefully before confirming their journey.

- Review your itinerary carefully, including routes, activities, transfer times, and accommodation details.
- Ensure your travel insurance covers all planned and optional safari activities.
- Disclose any medical conditions, allergies, mobility needs, dietary requirements, or accessibility concerns before travel.
- Confirm that your passport, visas, vaccination certificates, and travel documents are valid and up to date.
- Understand that some activities may have age, weight, fitness, mobility, or health requirements.
- Follow all safety instructions given by guides, rangers, lodge staff, park authorities, and activity providers.
- Travel with suitable clothing, footwear, medication, and personal essentials for safari conditions.
Some safari experiences, such as gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking, walking safaris, hiking, canoeing, boating, horseback safaris, or hot-air balloon safaris, may require a reasonable level of fitness or specific safety preparation. Your Safety During the Safari
During your safari, your guide, lodge team, and local representatives are there to support your comfort, safety, and overall experience.
For your own wellbeing and the safety of others, please:
- Remain inside the safari vehicle unless your guide confirms it is safe to exit.
- Keep a respectful distance from wildlife at all times.
- Never attempt to feed, touch, call, or provoke wild animals.
- Follow your guide’s instructions during game drives, nature walks, transfers, and activities.
- Stay on marked paths or designated areas within lodges, camps, and parks.
- Inform your guide or lodge team immediately if you feel unwell or unsafe.
- Keep emergency contacts, travel insurance details, and important documents accessible.
- Respect local customs, community guidelines, park rules, and conservation regulations.
Wildlife encounters are a privilege, but they take place in natural environments that cannot be controlled. Our guides and partners are trained to help manage these experiences responsibly, and guest cooperation is essential.
Health, Insurance & Emergency Preparedness
Because many safari destinations are located in remote areas, travellers should take health and insurance preparation seriously.
We strongly recommend that all guests arrange comprehensive travel insurance before departure. Your policy should include medical treatment, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, baggage loss, travel delays, missed connections, and cover for all activities included in your itinerary.
Before travelling, we also recommend consulting a doctor or travel clinic for destination-specific health advice, including guidance on malaria prevention, vaccinations, altitude considerations, food and water precautions, and any personal medical needs.
